About Your Teacher

My name is Shara Nelson, and I was married last December. This is a picture of my wedding day. Don't be deceived by the short sleeves - it was freezing outside!

I have not always lived in Utah; I grew up in Kentucky and then moved to North Ogden when I was 15. I actually graduated from Weber High School and really enjoyed my time there.

In college, I noticed how much I enjoyed learning about history, and I realized that I would love to teach history to high school students. I hope that I can share my love of history with you. I also teach a couple of psychology classes, which is another of my passions. If any of you are interested in learning more about the science of people, take a psychology class sometime.

I am looking forward to being your U.S. History teacher this semester at Weber High School. I know that we will have a great year!
